You guys, did you see Kristen Schaal poking fun at openly mocking the recent rash of ridiculous republican ads targeting female voters on The Daily Show? Hilarious (but not as funny as the actual ads themselves)!
How stupid do republicans think women are? Oh, very stupid! Guess what they think is most important to us? Our relationships with men! Yes, they’re super insulting!
This is nothing new, of course. I remember back in 2008 when McCain chose Palin as his running mate. The next day, my very old, country-club-white, filthy rich, republican boss asked me with self-assured glee, “So…are you going to vote for Sarah?!” He almost couldn’t contain himself.
I wanted so badly to say, “Why, YES! Sarah Palin has a vagina, and I HAVE A VAGINA TOO!!! So what if she is not the presidential candidate, but the vice presidential candidate, and so wouldn’t really be DOING anything (except acting as presiding officer of the Senate and sitting around waiting for the president to die). I’m going to vote for *her* because SHE has a vagina, and I have a vagina, and I don’t understand how politics work, because VAGINA!!!”
Instead I smiled and said simply, “no.”
